2nd JULY
On behalf of all the members of Sully BC, a very big thank you to Dave Mahoney for donating one of his magnificent hanging baskets, to raffle for Ty hafan. We sold tickets to members over the 3 sessions, and raised £32:50. A cheque has been sent to Ty hafan. Thank you again Dave, also for the refreshments to continue to bring. May your bridge prosper.
I am also the bearer of sad news – Mae Williams’ husband, who has been very ill for some time, passed away last week. Our depest sympathy to you and your family Mae.
Sully Bridge Buffet
The May Bridge Buffet function was held on Wednesday and all those who came along were unanimous that it was a most enjoyable afternoon.
For those who were not able to come for whatever reason, I thought you might like a taste of what you missed.
We were most grateful to Sean Macdougall for doing a marvellous job running the bar, particularly those ladies who not only had a kiss, but also a large glass of wine.
I was most grateful to all those who helped prepare the food and set it out so appealingly – “Eat me” it said – particularly Carol Cochlin and Judy Collins, who worked their socks off, cutting – chopping – slicing – mixing – laying out the food and keeping me calm.
A big thank you to all who turned up, making the event such a resounding success – enjoyed by all.
Some further pictures of the afternoon:
Tell me that joke again:-
I could get to like this vintage:-
We even played bridge:-
